Training Days
Wear any kit you want to (within reason). Please
leave any valuables (watches etc) at home, as it is impossible
to guarantee their safe keeping. Remember to bring plenty of
warm clothes and a drink for during the session. Showers are available
at the clubhouse after training.

Match Days
Please make sure that the boys have:
A Lymm Shirt
Black Shorts
Black Socks
Some pocket money to buy extra food and drinks.
The boys will normally be provided with something to eat after the match
by the hosts.

The M&JS's Shop
We run a club shop stocking all kit items and other
equipment such as gum shields, scrum caps, balls and other goodies.
The shop will normally be open after training sessions and home
games and is situated in the Lymm RFC clubhouse.

Safety
For training and matches it is important that your child
has the following items:
- A correctly fitting gum shield. If in doubt speak to your dentist
- Rugby boots fitted with approved metal (aluminium) studs
- Nylon or plastic studs are illegal and a referee can remove a player from the game if they are used
- Consider the use of head protection, to guard against concussion injury
- Shin guards are a sensible precaution for front row forwards
Please remember to
advise your coach of any medical condition that could affect
their fitness or recovery from injury. If your child is asthmatic
please remember their medication. Please let us know if your child
is recovering from illness such as flu or measles, which could
affect their fitness.

Fees and Membership
The subscriptions are as follows:
- Under 7 - 11 £45 for the first child (including adult social membership of the club)
- Under 11 - 16 £50 for the first child (including adult social membership of the club)
- £15 for the second and subsequent children
This represents excellent value and
remember that there are no match fees. Compared to other M&J's in Cheshire Lymm
is one of the cheapest clubs of which to be a member. Early registration is recommended,
because then the players are insured against injury.

Insurance
All registered players are covered by basic RFC cover.
If you want to improve this cover further insurance should be
obtained privately.

Coaching
All help is welcome. An outside observer would be hard
pressed to decide for whom the training sessions are run - the
parents or boys. It's
a lot of fun and can even help as part of a calorie controlled
diet.

We
have recently been awarded the Sport England/R.F.U. Seal of approval
recognising that the club is safe, effective and child friendly.
